How do you get the light to tap on once for white light only and the tap once to turn off? Is this possible? I prefer not to tap 3 times to turn off the light.
You will need to tap four times to turn off or turn off via the remote.

The remote is line of sight so make sure you are pointing it towards the light you are trying to operate. If it still is not working, try replacing the battery.
