Is there a way to set the remote so that the setting I like them on will come on every time without having to dim and set color each time?
As long as you use the remote to turn the lights on and off and not the wall switch, the settings should not default.
I unplugged the lights with only 1 section hooked up and now they are blinking.
Please try disconnecting and reconnecting everything to see if that fixes the issue. If not, please reach out to customer service at 1-800-291-8838 for further assistance. We are available Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST.
If I have two packages installed in one room, will the two remote controllers work independently of each other?
Yes. The remotes are not programmed to the fixture, but are line of sight. You can use either remote for both sets of lights.
How close does the remote need to be to work?
The maximum operating distance of the remote control with new batteries is approximately 20 ft. (7 m) with a direct line of sight between the remote control and the IR receiver.

Default should be 4000K.

We are so sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately, the parts for our tape light kits are not sold separately.
I installed this tape light kit in a second home 6 weeks ago. They worked fine for a week. I just returned and they won’t turn on. I changed the battery (2025) and the lights are still off. Power is direct wired through an outlet that has power. I am inches from the IR receiver antenna. Nothing works. I have checked all the connections. It seems to be either the power supply unit or the remote.
We do not recommend hardwiring our tape light kits. Doing so also voids warranty.
Can I get a new power supply and infrared controller plus controller for this model?
The parts/accessories for our tapelight kits are not currently sold separately.
Can I connect the power supply in the middle of 2 strips? The plug I need to use is in the middle of the area I want to run my lights.
The power supply does not connect directly to the stip. It is connected to the IR receiver/controller, and the IR receiver/controller is connected to the power supply.
Can two 12-ft tape sets be purchased separate from kit?
The strips and parts/accessories for our tape light kits are not sold separately.
The directions were missing in the package I bought at Lowe's for this unit so I don't know how to cut or use the splicers. I could not find it on your website. Please advise.
The instructions can be accessed under "Downloads" on the product page of the website.
I have a cabinet to the left of my stove to the right of my stove and 2 connected cabinets to the right of my sink. How can I link these together? I bought a 24-ft kit, 3500 lumens, thinking that I would be able to make one kit work in all 3 locations. Do you sell anything to double or triple the factory connections? Also do I need to stick with 3500 lumens if I have to buy another kit to work in conjunction with the first kit. Will 2 or 3 separate kits work with the same remote?
Unfortunately, the only accessories available for the tape light kits are what comes include in the kit. We do not have any longer extensions. If you have to jump large spaces, we recommend seperate kits with seperate power sources. You cannot connect multiple kits together or use parts/acccessories from other kits. You can however use the same remote as long as it is the same model#/same remote.
I've had these lights installed for about a month and now all of a sudden they're blinking. Why are they blinking?

If you use a timer will the light come on with the same setting as when it went off?
As long as it is not turned off at the light switch, it should turn to whatever color you have selected on the remote.
My lights work fine with the remote except I cannot turn them off. How do I turn the lights off?
Please make sure the IR/controller receiver is visible to the remote. If you cut and reconnected the kit, try disconnecting and reconnecting all parts/pieces. If you are still experiencing issues, please reach out to customer service at 1-800-291-8838 for technical support and/or warranty replacement. Ten months after installation and turning the lights bright full on and off via wall switch, when turned on now, lights come on at about half dim and must be brightened using the remote control every time lights are turned back on using wall switch. What now causes loss of setup when lights are turned off?
Please reach out to customer service at 1-800-291-8838 for technical support and/or warranty replacement. We are available Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST. Turning the lights on and off with the wall switch should default the lights back to the factory setting. You can try disconnecting and reconnecting all parts to see if that fixes the issue.
What is the factory setting of the lights?
Factory preset should be 4000K.
We installed a 12-foot strip of your AC1214-WHG-24LF1-G lights, and they worked fine for a couple of days, until we happened to hit the "mute" switch on our DVR remote, and that caused the lights to cycle between white and yellow. We haven't yet figured out how to make it stop, We want a continuous warm white (yellowish) light. How do we make that happen? And a second question is can we make the receiver for the lights ignore the other remote?
If the lights are plugged into a switched outlet, turning off the switch will reset them to factory. Or you can unplug from the outlet and plug back in. If the receiver is reading a signal from your remote, you can try putting some electrical tape over the receiver.
The led strip doesn’t have a -negative- mark just + marks on the entire length of the strip top and bottom are +. How else can I tell what’s the negative side to make connections?
You should be able to use the connectors either way. If you cut and connect and the strip does not light, open the connector, flip it around, and try again.
What is the default setting for this light strip?
Default color temperature should be 3000K.
The instructions say the polarity symbols (+ and -) are located on the LED tape every 8". My tape has the followings markings: +24U WW CW WW +24U There are no negative symbols at all.
You should be able to use the corner connectors either way. If the lights do not turn on, remove the connector, and try it the other way.
If I use the 24’ in four to six different areas, in the same room, does each area (strip) have to be plugged in to a power source? Or, can I just buy something that links one power source to all?
You can cut and reconnect within the same kit with the connectors included. You cannot add from another kit.
I need another system that has matching light for the other side of my sink that is only 6' or 12' long that will work with the same remote. What model number would I get ?
Unfortunately we do not have a 6- or 12-foot kit available that works off the same remote. Our AC1068 comes in 6 or 12 feet but has a different remote.
How long are the corner connectors?
The corner connectors for this kit are about 4 inches long.
When installing the light strip, when you reach the end not connected to the power supply, is there a cap/end fitting necessary to insulate the open end the tape strip?
You can use the block connectors included with the kit, but it is safe to leave the cut end as is.
Why does my TV remote interfere with the lights?
It is possible that the IR receiver/controller may get interference from your TV remote. We recommend covering the IR receiver/controller when using your remote.
Can you buy a 5-prong splitter?
The only parts/accessories available for our tape light kits are what comes included within the kit.
