Does it have a manual turn off and on?
This is a dusk to dawn fixture so it will automatically turn on at dusk and off at dawn. If wired to a wall switch, you can turn the switch off to turn off the fixture.
Can you override the sensor or not use it to have the fixture function by switch? I want the lights to come on earlier and stay on later.
This is a dusk to dawn fixture so it will automatically come on at dusk and turn off at dawn. It will never come on in daylight unless you completely cover the sensor so it is tricked into thinking it is dark. If wired to a wall switch, you can turn the switch off to turn off the fixture.
Does a plug-in wire come with this fixture?
This is a direct wire fixture.
I currently have the lanterns to this light but Costco is not carrying it at this time. Can I order the pole light online?
This is only available at Costco Canada. They are still carrying it, it may just be out of stock.
Can the lantern head be installed to an existing post?
We can not recommend installing the fixture any way other than the instructions dictate.
Does this fixture have a classic 'Edison E26 base' 120VAC socket? and thereby customer can change the LED bulb with a dimmable type?
The Energy Star LED bulb is included with the product and is 800 lumens at full brightness, but a brighter bulb could be used if preferred. It’s a 120V fixture. Standard Edison base socket.
I would like to install 6 of these lights over a run of 500 feet in length, what electrical wire should I use if connecting to a 15 or 20 amp?
Type UF cable is generally used when placing a cable outside, buried in the ground between a house and an outside post lantern. Specifically for this application, due to the 500ft length and current draw, to stay within the 3% voltage drop rule of thumb, 12 awg wire is recommended. However, electricians may have different recommendations based on local codes.
Does this style of light come in outdoor ceiling mount or a pendant?
This fixture only comes in a wall lantern or post light.

How do you add it to the ground? Do you need to drill it in a wood or i can put it on my lawn as well? Should dirt hold it? Or there is a better way?
This light needs to be mounted to a solid structure (wood, concrete, masonry, etc.).

Wondering the dimension of base? I’m replacing older light posts and wondering space between bolts to see if they will fit on base.
Hollow square base 12 1/4" x 12 1/4".

Is there any way to make the lamp shorter by not installing the lower or upper post section?
Yes, the post lantern heads can be installed on the lower post by not using the upper post. The lower post uses 6 screws to attach to the base section, the upper post has provisions for 4 screws.
