The lights go on in test mode for the 20 seconds as described in the manual. However, the motion sensor does not seem to activate at all. Have tried re-setting, re-setting the breaker, setting at different distances. We have done the test as described where lights initially come on for 20 seconds, and have waited 2 minutes for the motion sensor to “warm up” before trying motion test. No luck. Any suggestions would be great.

I have two units on the same switch. One seems to be in manual and one is in automatic. How do I sync them up?
You cannot wire two LED fixtures on the same electrical circuit in a series. The fixtures need to be wired parallel.  With LED technology, wiring more than one (1) fixture on a circuit that was done as a series circuit, causes the second fixture not to get the full 120V voltage, and as a result, can cause it to malfunction. This is because the drivers used to power up the LED’s require the full 120V to operate properly.
How do you do a manual override?
SETTING THE LIGHT MANUAL OVERRIDE: If the security light has been turned off at the switch, turn it on for 60 seconds to allow the (PIR) sensor time to warm up prior to initiating the manual override sequence. To switch over to manual mode, switch the power OFF-ON-OFF-ON within 2 seconds. There are 2 ways to return to sensor control: To immediately switch out of manual mode, repeat the manual mode sequence of power OFF-ON-OFF-ON within 2 seconds. This will cancel out manual mode. The security light will remain on until the internal dusk-to-dawn sensor detects the next dusk-dawn cycle. Once light is detected, it will allow the motion sensor to return to controlling the fixture the next day.
I lost screw CC. What is the size of it?
That screw is a #8/32 x 1 ½.
After installation we tested with movement at dusk, they came on, however did not shut off. I adjusted timer to 3 min. And reduced distance to 10 feet and they still did not shut off after the time set. Am I overlooking anything?

Light comes on and stays on. Doesn’t shut off. We bought it 3 years ago.
SE1097, SE1084, SE1095 2N1 SECURITY LIGHTS. Problems with settings, on all night, timer, motion sensor. Why? For best test results, the the fixture needs to acclimate to the outside temperature for about 1 hour before putting it into test mode.

Why? The sensor is a PIR (Passive Infa Red) sensor. It sees motion through temperature fluctuations. It takes custom readings every 2-3 minutes during the Learning mode. So wait 24-28 hours after the settings have been set or reset. It will come on during this time, but may not trigger every time that you think it should. It takes a full day or two for the adjustments to re-calibrate to the newest setting.

*First thing to check is if it came on twice in test mode. Why doesn't it turn off or light erratically?
You need to reboot the microprocessor in the sensor. How? Redo the test mode and reset it. It has to come on twice in test mode. This is a must in order to fully activate the sensors. If it has not, it will not work properly when you set your settings. Turn the rounded end of the raised stick on the knob all the way to the left to test. (Yes, it is hard to see. It is helpful to color the end with a dot using a Sharpie marker.) Then TURN OFF the electricity or wall switch. Wait 30 seconds to a minute, and then turn it on. It will come on for about 15-20 sec. then shut off. IMPORTANT: Trigger it a 2nd time this time with motion. Walk out in front of the fixture, waving your arms and moving zigzag side to side until it triggers again. *It will turn off after 5 sec. Then you turn the knob past Auto, choosing a time: 1 min, 5 min., or 10 min. 2nd knob: Set your range, "SENSITIVITY." How many feet out will it trigger? Start at Max then bring it in a little for more triggering. 3rd knob: AREA LIGHT SETTING You choose the dusk-to-dawn settings if you want the light to be on the lower brightness the rest of the night (standard 25% of full bright). *Decide if area light at lower brightness is to be activated at dusk. Locate the right control knob and set to desired time the area light is on. Setting to “dusk-to-dawn” turns light on from sunset to sunrise (or set it on the tick marks: 3 or 5 hours). *On dark, stormy, and snowy days, it will trigger all day because it is sensing it is dark out. **Once the dusk-to-dawn sensor detects light, the manual “ON” mode will automatically go back to its original settings of the auto motion sensor mode. RESETTING? Best results are after 24-48 hours after. It is in "learning mode" during this time customizing to that spot by taking minute temperature readings every 2-3 min. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Security light cycles ON and OFF continuously/dusk-to-dawn sensor is sensing
reflected light from the security light, or reflective surface near the fixture (windows, ice, snow, dryer vents, air conditioners or heat pumps). *Stormy weather, wind, and rain will change the temperature air pockets around the fixture and will trigger it. **The fixture PIR sensor will reset itself in the morning and go back to the original settings. OPERATION OF MANUAL "ON" mode FAQs: *Make sure it came on 2 times in test mode first and select the time. **Manual mode ONLY works when it is getting dark out Where it is installed. (It is normal for it to trigger on on dark stormy days.) OPERATION OF MANUAL "ON" mode: Switch off all the security lights and wait for 10 sec. OFF rest period. Then toggle it on off, on quickly within 2 seconds. It will come on and stay on all night, unless your turn off the switch. *IMPORTANT: this cancels the triggering with motion the rest of the night. It resets in the morning to the original settings. MULTIPLE FIXTURES ON ONE SWITCH: Switch off all the security lights and wait for 10 sec. *This is to ensure all the lights are completely off and they are all enter into the same state. Then switch on all the security lights and wait for 20s, this is to ensure the warm-up of all the lights are done; After 20 sec., switch off and on again within 1-2 seconds, then they will all go into the manual "on" mode. Why doesn't it trigger when I walk straight at it? IMPORTANT NOTE: The PIR sensor's range is straight out horizontally, fanning out like spokes of a wheel. Another visual is putting both arms straight out in front of you, touching your thumbs together and spreading your fingers open. *If you walk straight at it you may be in a "gray zone" where it does not see you. Move the sensor a little to one side or another and it should pick you up. Visually speaking — windmill you arms from side to side — this is the approximate range, 180 degrees. RANGE: 180 degrees from side to ...
Can I get a softer LED bulb?
LEDs are not replaceable like a traditional light bulb.
Is there a height restriction? I am wanting to place these in the peak of our gable, approximately 20-30 feet above the ground. Is this too high?
We recommend installing no more than 15-16 feet above ground for best results.
How do I register a se1097-wh3-02lf0-g for warranty?
We are happy you chose our product, thank you. As with anything that has a great warranty, keep a copy of your original purchase receipt as originals fade and staple it to your instruction sheets/package insert containing the Warranty reference and file away. This documentation is required in case you have a warranty claim in the future. There is no online registration.
Can I get the part of the light that has the controls on it?
That part is not available separately.
How do you replace a lamp if it goes out?
If the fixture fails within the warranty period, please reach out to customer service at 1-800-291-8838 for technical support and/or warranty replacement. We are available Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST.
Is the PIR compatible with different fixtures?
No. Parts from our fixtures are not compatible with other fixtures. We can not recommend manipulating our fixtures in any way. This voids warranty and we cannot guarantee it will work.
My box of SE1097-WH3-02LF0-G from Lowe's says "Light only turns on during night time hours when motion is detected." Is that right? I saw you answered the other question saying there's no D-D feature on this model. If so then the box is misleading. Which model does that to only activate light by motion at night when dark?
That is correct. This fixture will only activate with motion at night. It will not activate in daylight due to the built in dusk to dawn sensor. We have two fixtures that have a dusk to dawn feature. That is our low beam area light. that feature will keep the fixture on at a low beam from dusk to down and once triggered by motion will jump to high beam. It can be set to off, 3 hours, 5 hours, or dusk to dawn.  This fixture does not have that feature.
Motion detector is too sensitive. Light turns on by cat or raccoon. Is this normal? Is there a way to adjust sensitivity?
This fixture has a 180-degree adjustable passive infrared sensor (PIR) that detects motion up to 70 feet away. Because it uses infrared, it is detecting changes in temperature so it is normal that it would be triggered by small animals. Rotate the DISTANCE control knob anywhere from “10 ft” to MAX. (70 feet). When the DISTANCE control knob is turned to “10 ft”, the detection zone is very tight and compact, causing the detection sensitivity to be very high. The reverse is true; when the DISTANCE control knob is turned to “MAX,” it increases the detection zone exponentially.
Can you make the light stay on for several hours?
The only way to do this would be putting the fixture in manual mode. The fixture will not operate in daylight. SETTING THE LIGHT MANUAL OVERRIDE: If the security light has been turned off at the switch, turn it on for 60 seconds to
allow the (PIR) sensor time to warm up prior to initiating the manual override sequence.
To switch over to manual mode, switch the power OFF-ON-OFF-ON within 2 seconds.
There are 2 ways to return to sensor control: To immediately switch out of manual mode, repeat the manual mode sequence of
power OFF-ON-OFF-ON within 2 seconds. This will cancel out manual mode. The security light will remain on until the internal dusk-to-dawn sensor detects
the next dusk-dawn cycle. Once light is detected, it will allow the motion sensor to
return to controlling the fixture the next day.
Sensor is not detecting 180; it is much more narrow. It is mounted at a 8 foot height — would that be part of the problem? Also, red blinking light inside is off to the left; is that the normal position for it?
This fixture is okay to be installed 8 feet high. We recommend checking out our security light videos on YouTube created by our engineer for tips on installation and troubleshooting.
