My unit is out of warranty. Will not work. I put a different light up and it works. Can I get a replacement part # LD007-PSL08?
I am not pulling up anything in my system with that part #.
Can I buy the LED driver for this light, cat. no.ktld-25-1p-800-aq5 /a ?
I do not show that this driver is available separately.
What is the CC screw size for the SE1097-BP2-02LF0-G?
That screw is a #8/32 x 1 ½.
I have installed an SE1097 motion-activated security light over my garage door in place of an older failed security light. This is on a south facing wall, overlooking a concrete driveway, and we live in Las Cruces, NM (lots of sun!!). I have noticed that the SE1097 will not recognize my movements until about three to four hours after the sun goes down and the concrete driveway cools off. It suggests that this light has a thermal sensor that is blinded by the hot concrete. Is this correct, and is there a better security light that is not blinded by background heat?
Unfortunately, all of our security lights have PIR (passive infared sensors). The fixture is constantly taking readings of outside air temperature. Anything above the temperature will trigger the fixture. I have included a link to one of our YouTube videos created by our engineer that may be helpful. Extreme hot or cold weather could affect the performance of the built-in sensors that detect body heat. Certain winter clothing can shield a person’s body heat from the sensor during extreme cold weather. During extreme hot weather, the sensor may not be able to distinguish the difference between normal body temperatures and the surrounding high temperatures. The sensor will begin working normally once weather conditions return to normal.
I can't get the light to turn on with manual override.
Manual override will not work in daylight. If the fixture was just installed, it may take a day for manual override to start working. See our YouTube tutorial "Security Light Installation Part 10: Manual Override of PIR Security Light" for more information.
Can this be set to not turn on during daylight hours?
This fixture should not come on in daylight, unless it is located in a shaded area and is tricked into thinking it is dark. This fixture has a built-in dusk-to-dawn sensor that prevents it from activating in daylight. If your fixture is coming on in broad daylight, please reach out to customer service at 1-800-291-8838 for technical support. We are available Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST.
