Customer Questions
Solid brightness does not function, patterns start at once when turned on...NO continuous light at all.
Please reach out to customer service at 1-800-291-8838 for troubleshooting and or warranty replacement assistance. We are available Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST.
How do I use the remote to program different colors?
The buttons at the bottom of the remote control apply festive and changing lights by cycling through colors with varying degrees of fades and jumping light changes. You can click the effect buttons to transition from color to color in different ways and at different speeds. You can NOT however select specific effect colors.
How many lights can be connected to one transformer?
You can only use one set per transformer. You can cut and connect from the same strip, but you cannot, however, connect multiple kits together.
Do you sell the power supply assembly by itself?
We are so sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately, the accessories are not sold separately.
Can I get longer extensions for larger joints?
We are so sorry to disappoint you, but the only accessories available for our tape light kits are what is included in the kit. We do not have longer connectors.
I bought 4 of these sets for my kitchen cabinets and put them on a timer. 3 sets all turn on just fine but one always comes on dimmed and had to be unplugged before the remote will work. Is this fixable? I just bought them last week at Lowe’s.
We would need more information on your installation. Please reach out to customer service at 1-800-291-8838. We are available Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST.
Can I make this tape shorter?
Yes. This tape light can be cut on the "scissor" marks on the tape light.
Do you sell just the remote or is there any way one can be downloaded for my phone?
Please reach out to customer service at 1-800-291-8838 for replacement parts. We are available Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST.
These tape lights look awesome. But I need 1 more connector to turn a corner. Can I purchase the connector through you? I have model # AC10-WHG-12LFO which I purchased from Lowe's.
Please reach out to customer service at 1-800-291-8838 for parts replacement. We are available Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST.
What is the wattage of this strip when all lights are fully illuminated?
20.17W
What is maximum (full on) power consumption (watts) for A: White LEDs only, B: Color LEDs only, C: Both simultaneously?
30.2W
Do you offer a T-Shaped connector?
We are so sorry to disappoint you, but the only accessories available for our kits are what comes included with the kit.
Can I make up custom sized connectors?
We do not recommend using any parts accessories not included in the kit. We cannot guarantee it will work and it may void warranty.
So I’m using the strip for my room and I had to cut them an everything work fine but the only problem is that the solid yellow does not work it only go on in the little piece close to the power cube. And all colors are fine is just that one part is not working and I wanna see if there’s any way to fix that.
Disconnect and reconnect everything, and plug back in.
Can three strings be synchronized together and controlled i.e. on/off with a single controller? Push on/off and all three strings come on or go off?
You cannot connect three strips together, but as long as they are the same model/same remote, you can operate three with one remote. Line of sight.
Can I order just a remote?
We are so sorry to disappoint you, but the accessories for our tape light kits are not sold separately. If you're remote is no longer working, please reach out to customer service at 1-800-291-8838 for assistance. We are available Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST.
What is the end voltage after the driver: 12v or 24v dc?
This fixture has a 24V plug-in driver.
I bought two Self-Adhesive Tape Light Kits. I will be installing two separate tape lights near each other in separate cabinets. Each will have its own Power Cord and Controller. Will I be able to use just one of the Remote Controls to turn each on or are the Controllers on different frequencies?
Yes, you can use one remote for two sets.
Can one remote controller be used for different sets? Or, do all your kits use the same IR frequency for your controllers?
As long as it is the same remote and/or model #, you can use one remote for multiple sets. Remotes are light on sight so IR controller/receiver would need to be visible.
I connected two strings of tape light with the supplied connectors (aligning the +RGBW designations for both connections). They both work; however, they are different colors. How do you get the same color for both strings?
The included connectors are so you can cut and connect from the strip within the kit. You cannot connect multiple strips together. That is why they are not operating properly. The power source is only designed to handle on strip. Adding more than one will overload the power source and potentially damage the LEDs.
On your model number AC1068-12LF0-G, it shows on the package that above I believe the sink area there is a light and then all under the cabinet is a light. I want to know if you don't have any longer connections how do you make the light above the sink work? I think your picture is rather deceiving on how these lights work! You need to do something about this either make longer extensions to get to the cabinet above the sink or change the picture on your package!
If you do not have cabinets above your sink to install the tape lights underneath, and/or the corner connectors included will not work with your application, we recommend using two kits with two separate power sources. The same remote will operate both. This kit does come in 6 feet as well.
The color changes still work but the lights will not turn OFF?
Try disconnecting and reconnecting all parts/pieces of your kit. Make sure the IR receiver/controller is visible to the remote.
Installed my kit yesterday and seemed to be working fine. The off and on buttons seem to be working, but even more when you turn them off the red lights stay on no matter what I do unless I actually unplug the kit. And I don’t have them set on red only white.
We recommend disconnecting and reconnecting everything and trying again. If you are still experiencing an issue, please reach out to customer service at 1-800-291-8838. We are available Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST.
TV remote is interfering with LED lights. It turns the lights on and off.
It is possible that the IR receiver is getting interference from your remote. Try repositioning the sensor or covering it with electrical tape as needed.
Where do I register and read about your stated 6-year warranty?
We are happy you chose our product, thank you. As with anything that has a great warranty, keep a copy of your original purchase receipt as originals fade and staple it to your instruction sheets/package insert containing the warranty reference and file away. This documentation is required in case you have a warranty claim in the future. There is no online registration.
Do I have to use the remote control to turn these lights on and off or can I plug the power supply into a plug that has a physical switch?
If the power supply is plugged into a switched outlet, you can use the wall switch. Please note that turning the lights on and off with the switch instead of remote will cause them to default to factory settings.
Where can I purchase a power cord extension for the IR receiver? 5 foot power cord is not long enough.
We are so sorry to disappoint you, but the only parts/accessories we have available for our tape light kits are what comes included in the kit.
I have purchased (4) 12" sets. I now have 3 extra remotes, many connectors, and 3 power plugs. Can I just buy the tape lights separately? I have another room I would like to light up and this seems like a lot of wasted parts.
We are so sorry to disappoint you, but the tape light is not available separately.
Is there a jump wire/extender available to go up and around stove vent to create one circuit?
We are so sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately, the only accessories available for our tape light kits are what comes included in the kit. If you have to jump a large space, we recommend two separate kits plugged in independently. You can use one remote for both.
On the plug that you put into the wall it has 2 others coming off. One connects to the lights and the other is for what? It has a black cap on it.
It sounds like you are referring to the IR controller/receiver and not the power supply. Connect the IR controller to the LED tape light by lining up the arrows molded into the top of each plug end of both the power cord and the LED tape light. Plug in power cord to outlet. The cord with the antenna is the receiver and needs to be visible to the remote.
