Does this fixture have to have a wall switch with a dimmer?
No. This can be installed on a regular on/off wall switch. The dimmer is only an option.
How to change color?
You cannot change the color temperature of this fixture. You can dim it if installed on a dimming circuit.
I installed a dimmer switch that is compatible with this light (Lutron Diva) but when you dim it there is a buzzing sound. How do I get rid of the annoying buzzing sound?
We apologize for the problems that you are having dimming your new fixture.Yes, it is normal for some humming to occur when dimming LED fixtures. Read on and see the ALTERNATE Dimmer list below.*LED dimmers start up with the lowest range of 25-30%, and this is normal for dimming LED fixtures.*We suggest leaving the dimmer on "high" when you turn off the switch so that it will start off on high receiving the full amount of electricity to begin with. Then you can dim down to the level of choice.This will lower the delay of lighting when you turn the dimmer switch on when you enter the room.We listed 3 example dimmers and since then we have a list of alternate dimmers that we have tested work better. Please explain what a "10-Year Limited Warranty" means and what it covers on the Jordan 17.
The manufacturer warrants this lighting fixture to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of (10) years from the date of original purchase by the consumer. The fixture is not warrantied for use in a commercial or retail application.
The warranty is limited to use in a residential environment. We will repair or replace (at our option) the unit in the original color, and style if available, or in a similar color and style if the original item has been discontinued, without charge. Defective units must be properly packed and returned to the manufacturer with a letter of explanation and your original purchase receipt showing date of purchase. Call 1-800-291-8838 to obtain a Return Authorization number and an address where to ship your defective product.
Note: C.O.D. shipments will NOT be accepted. The liability of the manufacturer is in any case limited to replacement of the defective light fixture product. The manufacturer will not be liable for any other loss, damage, labor costs or injury which is caused by the product. I have this light in my kitchen, it was installed before I bought the house. It’s been fine for the last three years, but all of the sudden, started flickering on one side. What would cause this issue? And is it safe to leave on?
